Aurélien Ferrand has been a Director with Messis Finance since he joined the company in 2007 to assist Elie Auriac. Aurélien graduated from ESCEM Tours and started his career as financial auditor in Transaction Services with Grant Thornton until 2005, mainly to small and midcap LBO funds, then with Mazars as Director until 2007, advising mainly large and midcap corporate clients.

Aurélien has been part of most transactions achieved by Messis Finance. He has developed a large experience in key industries such as meat and processed meat products (advising on the equity and debt restructuring of Pierre Schmidt Stoeffler in 2015, the MBO takeover of André Bazin in 2014, the sale of Roland Monterrat to MBO Partenaires in 2013, the acquisition by Cooperl Arc Atlantique of a stake in Provinces d’Europe Group in 2013, the sale of the Arrivé Group - Maître Coq - to LDC in 2009, …) or the bakery-patisserie industry (acquisition of Italian LAG by Belgium’s Vandemoortele in 2015, sale of Neuhauser to Soufflet in 2014, acquisition of BCS by Neuhauser in 2011, takeover of Lemaitre and Le Grillon on behalf of France Pain with Chequers Capital in 2008, ...). Aside from these specific segments of the agro-food industry, Aurélien has also been involved in consultancy projects in animal nutrition (takeover bids and buyout offers on Evialis for Invivo in 2007 and 2009), food supplements (sale of Natural distribution to Argos Soditic in 2013), animal genetics (sale of Labogena to Evolution in 2013 on behalf of INRA) and frozen food (sale of AtlantiqueAlimentaire to CookUp in 2010, and a carve-out of the ice cream activity of Maison Boncolac for R&R Ice Cream in 2011).
